Spring Events in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach

Boat and Yacht Show – March 

We can’t imagine a better way to enjoy the beautiful weather than at The Wharf Boat and Yacht Show! Dozens of dealers and nearly 100 exhibitors will display over $100 million in boats, yachts, and marine products. The event includes instructional seminars, live music, center and dual console boats, yachts, and more. If you want to avoid lines, purchase your tickets online, then check out the show!

L.O.L Festival – March 

The inaugural L.O.L. Festival is an exciting new spring event in Gulf Shores. Held at beautiful Gulf State Park, it’s a great opportunity to meet local vendors, enjoy the atmosphere, and kick off the season with a fresh, community-focused event. With live music, food, and entertainment, this three-day festival will surely become a favorite!

OWA Spring Fling – March-May 

The OWA Spring Fling is a series of exciting spring celebrations from March through May in Foley, just north of Gulf Shores. Whether swinging by for the Rubber Ducky Regatta, a rubber duck race across Lake OWA, checking out the Lawn and Leisure Expo, or bringing the kids to Bunnies and Baskets, each event promises a fun time for every family member!

The Wharf C Spire Concert Series – April-July

The C Spire Concert Series at The Wharf in Orange Beach brings top performers from country, alternative, and rock music to the Alabama Gulf Coast. The open-air venue, one of the largest in the area, is a great place to check out your favorite bands in the sand and on stage!

Flora-Bama Mullet Man Triathlon – April 

Even if you’re not a runner, you’ll appreciate the dedication and be inspired by the athletes participating in the Flora-Bama Mullet Man Triathlon. The event begins with the ¼ mile swim, followed by a 16.5-mile bike ride, culminating in a 3.9-mile run. Athletes with any energy left can enjoy the post-race party featuring live music, great food, and plenty of fun!

Flora-Bama Easter Egg Hunt and Church Services – April 

An Easter egg hunt is a great way to get the kids excited about spring, and the Flora-Bama Easter Egg Hunt doesn’t disappoint. Beyond crafts and face painting, this spring event will see the Easter bunny skydiving onto the beach! Come back on Sunday for church services on our sandy shores!

Lulu’s Easter Egg Dash – April 

If you missed the Flora-Bama Easter Egg Hunt, bring your little bunnies out for Lulu’s Easter Egg Dash on Easter Sunday! The kids will have a blast dashing to collect eggs, the Easter Bunny will make an appearance, and you’ll have the time of your life snapping photos to share with family and friends. 

Bama Coast Cruisin’ – April 

Held at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Bama Coast Cruisin’ offers a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere amid a beautiful waterfront backdrop. With no restrictions on vehicle types, it’s a unique opportunity to see a wide variety of stunning vehicles and browse the booths. Enjoy the show, check out the local shops and restaurants, and experience the Southern hospitality that makes this event unforgettable. If you miss them in the spring, hit  their fall event!

Flora-Bama Mullet Toss – April 

An entry fee of $20 gets you a commemorative tee shirt and a shot at throwing a dead mullet further than anyone else across the Florida-Alabama state line! One of the biggest beach parties on the Alabama Gulf Coast, the Flora-Bama Mullet Toss is an event like no other. All proceeds go to local charities, and with awards for all age groups, male and female, everyone has a chance to earn bragging rights!

Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival – May 

The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival, the final event of the OWA Spring Fling, is a sight to behold! This three-day spring celebration features tethered balloon rides, interactive displays, and pilot meet-and-greets. Beyond the incredible hot-air balloons, this free event offers fun activities for the kids, food and craft vendors, and more!

Orange Beach Billfish Classic – May 

Grab a group of friends, hop on the Eastern Gulf tournament circuit, and join in the start of the Gulf Coast Triple Crown Series, a major highlight in championship sportfishing. The Wharf hosts the Orange Beach Billfish Classic, a popular blue marlin tournament attracting competitive fishing teams from all over. Tuna, wahoo, and dolphin are included in optional catch and release categories, making this a thrilling event for anglers of all skill levels!

Sand In My Boots – May 

Join the waitlist for Sand in My Boots, an epic 3-day beach concert featuring your favorite artists! If you missed the Orange Beach Billfish Classic, you’ll get another opportunity at The Blue Marlin Grand Championship, another Gulf Coast Triple Crown Series event. Cast for blue

marlin, tuna, dolphin, and wahoo and vie for cash prizes against some of the best sport fishing teams in the region!

Blue Angels Pensacola Beach Air Show- July 

Enjoy the scenic drive to the Blue Angels Air Show on Pensacola Beach, about 45 minutes east of Orange Beach. The U.S. Navy’s elite demonstration squadron takes to the skies, performing aerial stunts sure to delight. Parking fills up fast, so plan to arrive early. To fully enjoy the experience, bring a hat, sunscreen, shades, water, and beach chairs, then kick back and enjoy the show!

Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo – July 

Attracting thousands of anglers and even more spectators, the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo on Dauphin Island promises some of the most exciting game fishing around. As the largest fishing tournament in the world, payouts are hefty, including a million dollars in cash and prizes! Get your little anglers involved at the Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament, a one-day summer event designed to bring families together and teach kids about sportsmanship.
